SG guitar wize stands for Solid Guitar. Because when Les Paul was making guitars, his company made a Les Paul guitar looking like the SG and Les Paul said that is nt a Les Paul. Change it's name before I quit letting you use my name on your guitars. So they did and they changed it to SG.
